Matching Mole's Little Red Record - Matching Mole's Little Red Record (1972) is the second album of the British Canterbury Scene band Matching Mole. Compared to their first album, Little Red Record was more of a team effort, with Wyatt taking a less involved role. Matching Mole - Matching Mole was a UK progressive rock band from the Canterbury Scene formed in 1971 by Robert Wyatt after he left Soft Machine (and recorded his first solo album End Of An Ear). He continued his role on vocals and drums and was joined by David Sinclair (also of Caravan) on keyboards, Phil Miller on guitar and Bill MacCormick (formerly Quiet Sun) on bass. Hatfield and the North - Hatfield and the North is a jazz-rock band (part of the "Canterbury scene") that lasted from October 1972 to June 1975, with some get-togethers thereafter. The original members were Phil Miller (guitar, from Matching Mole and Delivery), Richard Sinclair (bass and vocals, from Caravan), Pip Pyle (drums, from Delivery) and Dave Sinclair (keyboards, from Matching Mole and Caravan); Dave Sinclair was quickly replaced by Dave Stewart (from Egg) before the first recordings were made. Phil Miller - Phil Miller (born 22 January 1949) is a UK "progressive rock"/jazz guitarist who was part of the Canterbury Scene. He was a member of the bands Delivery, Matching Mole, Hatfield and the North, National Health, Short Wave (with Hugh Hopper, Pip Pyle and Didier Malherbe) and has since worked in solo projects and in his band In Cahoots, which he founded in 1982 with Richard Sinclair, Elton Dean, Pete Lemer and Pip Pyle.
